Dan Gearino is a writer and reporter in Columbus, Ohio. Since 2018, he has covered the business of clean energy and the Midwest for Inside Climate News. From 2008 to 2018, he wrote on the business desk for The Columbus Dispatch. Previously, he was a newspaper (and occasional radio) reporter, first in New Hampshire, where he covered the 2004 presidential primary, and then in his native Iowa, where he covered the 2008 caucuses. By night, he writes about comics. He is the author of the 2017 book COMIC SHOP, and is a board member for Cartoon Crossroads Columbus, a nonprofit arts organization that puts on an annual festival celebrating comics and the cartoon arts. He lives in Columbus with his much better half and their two daughters.
